Industry footprint by metro
Share is the percentage of all employed residents working in your selected industries. Concentration compares that share with the US average for the same year: 2× means twice the share, not twice your chance of a job.

Definitions & source
US Census Bureau, American Community Survey 1-year estimates, DP03 and B01001. Counts cover civilian employed residents aged 16 and over, including people who commute elsewhere. They are not local workplace job counts or job vacancies. No career seniority breakdown is available in these tables.
Ages 22–24 and 25–29 are published bands; we do not estimate an exact 22–26 group. MOEs are 90% margins of error; combined counts use the Census square-root-of-summed-squares approximation. Small differences may be sampling noise. Historical boundaries and classifications are not harmonized.
